Wine Tasting: Macedonian Wines of Popova Kula
We are lucky to be hosting Jordan Trajkov of Popova Kula before he heads back home to Macedonia. As the owner of the winery, Jordan impressed me with not only his knowledge of winemaking and growing, but also his passion for the region and Macedonia's indigenous grapes. A re-budding wine region, Macedonia has been cultivating the vine since 1300 BCE. Jordan will speak to us about the region, their winery, and family stories about the local grapes. The winery makes a broad range of international wines, but still focuses on educating the populace of their local pride and joy varietals. Join us for an evening full of wines that excite the palate, and yet might remind you of other Old World wines you've grown to love. Meet & greet starts promptly at 6PM with an aperitif and hors d'oeuvres, followed by the seated wine tasting.
Seats are $25 per person and include 5 wines, tax, and gratuity. This tasting will be held at the Belted Goat for approximately 1 hour.
The fine print: Classes & tastings are non-refundable. Please include the names of attending guests in the gift message area. If your plans have changed, please feel free to send a lucky friend in your place! Just send us an email with their name or have them bring your confirmation email. A limited number of seats may be available on the day of the tasting – please call the Belted Goat to inquire.
