Domaine de la Prebende 'Anna Asmaquer' Beaujolais Rouge 2018
A classic pairing for Thanksgiving, Beaujolais wine has been enjoyed over Turkey & Fixin's since the 1950s with the release of Beaujolais Nouveau -- always the 3rd Thursday of November. A spritzy, young version of barely fermented Beaujolais wine, Nouveau is meant to be consumed quickly and does not cellar well.
Cue Domaine de la Prébende. Wines produced by the Dupeuble family -- a small family-owned domaine running since the early 1500s -- cover some of the classic styles of Gamay, the red grape of Beaujolais. Akin to Pinot Noir with more dark fruits & berries, and a spritz of potpourri, this light-bodied delight is a natural with white & dark meats, and a knock-out pairing with cranberry dishes.
Whether you've had your fair share of Beaujolais over the years, or a newcomer to Beaujolais, this wine won't disappoint.
The fine print: Your wine order will be available for pickup at The Belted Goat on Thanksgiving morning from 8-11am. You can pick up Thanksgiving Dinner for Two at the same time!
