Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo – The Big Three of Piedmont
In a region that is internationally defined by Barolo and Barbaresco, there are appellations in the Piemonte that offer delicious wines without the attached price tags. Barbera, with its generous fruit tones and bright acidity is a perfect red wine alternative for many lighter dishes that are normally paired with white wines. Dolcetto, on the other hand, is darker with a pronounced bite and structure – an Italian grape to the core. While Barolo and Barbaresco are made up of the noble Nebbiolo grape, there are also smaller, yet still highly regarded appellations in the Piemonte that vinify this grape with different qualities. This class will put the spotlight on those often bypassed DOCs. Join us at the Belted Goat for this class.
Seats are at $60 per person and include wines, tasting bites, tax, and gratuity.
